07.00 AM, Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300: the conditions in the checkpoint are very bad indeed and there are many complaints. There is great pressure from the Palestinian side and passage through the checkpoint is very slow. Four inspection windows are operating with a queue of about fifteen people at each of them. The checkpoint opened at 05.15 this morning, and at the “Olive” crossing, which opened at 04.00, the passage is fast and efficient.
Tarkomia CP opened at 03.30. Why is Checkpoint 300 opened so late and why is the passage through it so slow ?
08.00 AM, Etzion DCL: it iss open, and seventeen people are waiting, most of whom want a magnetic card.
08.30 AM, Beit Ummar:
09.00 AM, Nabi Yunis: we receive requests for help with various problems.
09.30 AM, Etzion DCL: we are told that sixteen people have gone in, and about twenty more are waiting in the hall.
