Morning

7:00 AM, Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300: lots of people outside, telling us that everything is smooth today. Inside there are still lines, but everything is orderly. Four windows are open, it has taken most people about half an hour to cross.

7:55 AM, Etzion DCL: about thirty people waiting to get in. The door opens at 8:00 AM but people are let in only ten minutes later. Some for fingerprints, some for medical permits, others for magnetic cards. No special events. A few people approach us, among them one young man 19 years old, who is obviously new to this and confused.

9:30 AM:  we leave for Beit Jalla to meet a carpenter who is appealing to the civil court to get his permit back.
