Morning

07.30 AM, Hussan:  a Palestinian asked for our help with a problem : he needs to take his son to a hospital, but he is on the GSS-denied list. “They killed my  son and now I am GSS-denied” he says.

08.00 AM, Etzion DCL:  about twenty people were waiting, most of them for magnetic card renewal. A Palestinian turned to us for help : he told us that soldiers came to his house in El Rov at 02.30 arrested his 15-year old son, took his and his wife’s  ID cards, and the son’s birth-certificate. When he asked for a receipt for the confiscated documents, he was told to shut-up and get out of their way, otherwise they would arrest him too. He is now trying to find the documents, and he has been told that they are at the Etzion DCL. The people at the DCL have no trace of them, and also don’t know where the son is being held. After many telephone calls on the following day, we were told that the documents will be sent to the Palestinian Liaison office.

08.40 AM,  Beit Ummar:

09.00 AM,  Nabi Yunis:  on our way back we saw that the small booths that some youths had erected opposite the entrance to Karneh Tsur had been destroyed. The youngsters told us this occurred at night and they don’t know who did it. They continued to sell their fruit exposed to the sun, which was roasting both them and the fruit.
