Morning

Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300, 6:50 AM: we approach the terminal and see a lot ofworkers on the Israeli side. They report a quick passage and are in a goodmood. The weather is beautiful, adding to the good mood. Inside the terminal wemeet the EAPPI  people who report apassage of 1800 people at 7:10 - about 200 people less than last week at thistime - although last week the passing was slow. People who came at 5:00 passedat 7:00.

7:15 AM: two lines are still operating. These are the last oftoday's workers going into Israel.

8:15 AM, Etzion DCL: not many people inside. The line is shortand there is already a group inside. There are quite a few people with problemswho approach us and we try to help them, guide them what to do, give our telephone numbers.

Our shift didn't report last week, so here is a shortreport: The passage on Sunday, December 13, in the morning, was absolutely nightmarish.Because of the slow going, there were shouts and screams on the Bethlehem side. Peoplehad to wait for one and a half or even two hours to cross. This is absolutelyimpossible for those whose work permits are in order and all they want to do isto go to their day's work. The rest of the week, according to the reports, werejust as bad.
