Afternoon

Etzion DCL: the unseen occupation...
Today the DCL was empty – not even someone waiting for Shabak interrogation. Silence. Only in the afternoon did I read that Linda from work permits is under arrest, suspected of forgeries.

The DCL checkpoint was broken – we weren’t told why or how.

Maher was there and told us that the policy now is public hours Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 12:00. Sundays only in the afternoons.
But in these hours he sat in his window – all because of our complaints...

Visits to a detainee had to travel a dirt path accompanied by two women soldiers driving a heavily armoured vehicle...

This inactivity at 14:30 PM on Monday at Etzion DCL – the Palestinians are not renewing magnetic cards or getting IDs? There are no medical referrals from the DCL in Bethlehem?

Soon there will be holiday passes for Christians – all done through the churches. The soldiers will not need to see Palestinians at all at the DCL requesting travel permits – they will be issued to holders of IDs without pictures...

Frightening.
