Morning

Highway 60, Report of the morning shift on the same route one week earlier, Jerusalem to Nabi Yunis (the entrance to Halhul and to Hebron)

22.10.12

Many came to Hussan at 07:30 AM,

                  to Al Nashshash at 07:45,

                  to Beit Ummar at 08:45

and to Nabi Yunis at 09:00

to ask advice, to transmit documents relating to Police and Shabak matters, and to receive such documents.

08:18 AM, Etzion DCL: about 80 people in the waiting room. No one had been admitted by the time we left at 08:40.

A man blacklisted by the Shabak who’d come with his daughter sitting in a stroller spoke despairingly. The daughter has cancer, he’s trying to get a permit to take her to the hospital, but in particular wants a permit to work in Israel. “We have nothing. No food. We can’t live this way. Look at the girl. She wants to die,” etc. etc.
