Afternoon

Etzion DCL, 14:20 PM: when we arrived we were told that four or five people were waiting within. More people arrived who were let in immediately. Twenty minutes passed but no one came out.

Apparently the soldiers had stopped working. We telephoned the humanitarian office which promised to take care of it; soon people began exiting. They said four people within were waiting for a police officer, Maher, who wasn’t there. Shlomit spoke with Maher who said he’s “coming right down.” We waited. No one came out. We tried to speak to Maher again but he didn’t answer the phone. A female soldier whom we asked to try to reach him didn’t get an answer either. He finally responded, said he came down a while ago and took the documents of the four people to his office. It turned out that wasn’t true. We spoke to an officer from the humanitarian office, who spoke to headquarters. Maher appeared and at 15:45 began taking care of the people who’d waited a long time.
