Morning

7:30 AM Husan – A man comes to excange documents and find out what’s happening with respect to the police.

08:00 AM, Nashshash – (the entrance to El Khader) – No one awaited us.

08:10 AM, Etzion DCL– About 30 people wait for it to open. Some asked for advice about getting off the police and Shabak blacklists.

08:30 AM, Beit Ummar – We exchanged documents with a few people and made suggestions regarding police and Shabak matters.

09:30 Nabi Yunis - We exchanged documents with a few people and made suggestions regarding police and Shabak matters.

Regarding people who’d received traffic tickets in the occupied territories and didn’t pay them on time: we learned the procedure has changed – it’s no longer possible to obtain new payment vouchers at the DCL from the police, after this task was assigned to the police for the past few years. It’s not yet clear how people will receive the vouchers. Will they have to go to the new, main police station at “Mevaseret Adumim”? That requires a special taxi ride, because there’s no Palestinian jitney route. But even that’s not clear yet. So it’s impossible to quickly pay tickets whose payment date has passed, and as we know the amount of the fine increases over time.
