Afternoon

Etzion DCO,

14:15 a man approached us satisfied that he got a “Tasrich”, a permit.  Following him one after another came people who received permits for treatments at hospitals in Jerusalem. An older woman received a permit to visit her sick mother in Gaza and to stay by her side for a week.

There were also disappointed people who came out. A young man complained that he has been trying for a month and a half to get a permit for a Holiday visit in Israel. He applied through the church. All his friends who applied in the same way got a permit. He is the only one who did not get one. He was sent to the DCO and from there back to the Palestinian Liaison Office. Then back to DCO that sent him back to the Office. Since then he runs between the two and has still not received a permit. We spoke to officer R. and he got the permit.

A young man, who was summoned for treatment at a hospital in Jerusalem on the coming Monday, did not get a permit. He is denied entry to Israel because once he was caught in Israel without permission. The officer advised him to ask for a new date for the treatment at the hospital and to ask for a permit a week ahead of the new date. Prior to that he must receive a clearance document from the police, so that  prevention can be canceled.
