2:30 PM, Etzion DCL: After we entered the fancy lobby it seemed like the temperature was much more comfortable. I wonder if they turned on the air conditioner especially for us or if it was a nicer day.

There are about 100 people waiting for magnetic cards. The Palestinians prepared an orderly list of the people waiting. We spoke to an officer on the phone, after which people started entering. We encountered a GSS restricted person who received a magnetic card. We were told that some attorneys send their restricted clients to pick up magnetic cards, even though they know that a magnetic card does not cancel a restriction – easy money.

Not all restricted people receive magnetic cards. We were unable to understand what the criteria are for receiving magnetic cards. One needs to submit a request in writing in order to get that question answered.

We drove to Beit-Omer to enjoy the bountiful market of fruits and vegetables. We returned around 5 pm. The Palestinian list had 200 names on it, out of which 73 were admitted. Not all of them received magnetic cards.

The Palestinian coordination representatives spend about three hours at the DCL.

At the end of the day the Palestinians asked me to pass the list to the officer in order to save waiting time tomorrow. Why aren’t they allowed to do this on their own?
