6:40 am, Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300:  five checking stations open.  The lines are moving at a reasonable pace. A member of the Ecumenical Accompanying group comes over to speak to us.  At 7:05 am he received a call from his cohort that all who wished to enter have done so.  1750 people passed through.

7:20 am, Al Nashshash:  one man asks us for help in obtaining a magnetic card.

7:45 am, Etzion DCL:   number of people approach us with various problems and are directed to the proper persons for help.  The DCL opened at 8:10 am.  The waiting hall is filled with the new chairs, which are quite comfortable.

8:30 am, Nabi Yunis:  we again help the owner of three factories of plastic bags in the area. He receives raw materiel from Tel Aviv, but the last two years he has been denided permission to enter that city.
