Morning

It is the 11th day of Ramadan.

We arrived at the Meitar crossing at 3:15 pm.

A Palestinian worker from Dura says that most of the people who go out to work are fasting. They arrive at the wire crossing very early in the morning, work for about six hours and return by 3:00 p.m. Then they do some shopping for the Iftar to be eaten when the sun goes down, a little before seven in the evening. They say that fasting during the day changes the rules of behaviour. As a rule, in Ramadan they work fewer hours.

Route 60:

Fares from Zenuta is in the pasture with the sheep. He reports that the settler Yinon from the illegal Meiterim Farm, is expanding the farm. He brought a container, a truck, and in the field, there is a bulldozer that works without any hindrance. The Palestinians would not dare to try and stop him.

Near the spring before the Dura al-Fawwar intersection (Ain al-Dalba, the water of which is piped into a pond on the eastern side of the road), soldiers watch (security guards?, inspectors?) the jerry cans and bottles from the surrounding Palestinian villages.

Soldiers are stationed along the road watching what is happening, mainly from cars.
