Afternoon

Despite the wintery weather, many people arrived. Most of them GSS prevented. They came because they had no choice: the GSS ordered them to come. One of them said that they came to his house at 1AM and summoned him to a meeting with the GSS in the morning. This was not the first time we heard about the practice of visiting Palestinians’ homes at night to summon them to a meeting with the GSS in the morning.

A guy arrived and said he worked in Efrat settlement and wanted to terminate the agreement with the employer who employed him there. The employer refused to release him and issued another work permit on his name, even though he no longer worked for him. This prevents him from being able to work for another employer. We referred him to the Association for Human Rights.  A young man said he checked out how he could pass a medical examination that would prove he is the father of a babyinfo-icon girl who lives with her mother in Israel and get for that a court order? He hopes it will allow him to live in Israel with the woman and her daughter.

An elderly man said that his 17-year-old son is GSS prevented from entering Israel. The father is not prevented. They have no idea why the son is prevented. We referred them, and the large group of prevented, to our friends who handle prevention.
