Habla checkpoint is closed. There were many checkpoints in the direction toward Nablus

The Habla checkpoint was totally closed, no one was there.  Not even soldiers who guard the fence.

Very few workers in the nurseries, in accord with the number of permits they were able to get, only 2-5 workers.  The crossing point for these workers, with the special permit, was through the Eliyahu checkpoint, 109 crossing.  Some of them were allowed to spend the night in order to guard the nurseries.  The Bedouin from 'Arab ar-Ramadin also use checkpoint 109.

The conversation with 'A was difficult.  He is very sad and critical of what is happening in the West Bank and Gaza.  Naturally, so are we.  According to his report, in order to travel to Nablus, he can no longer travel the short way, through Huwarra, which is too dangerous because of the settlers!

On the way, through Jit and Dir Sharaf, there are checkpoints, but they are a bit easier on the road from Huwara;  they are not permanent and also the chance of encountering settlers is less there.  Checkpoints change, and could be also at Nabi Ilyas, Azzun, Funduq, at the entrance to the road to Jenin, Dir Sharaf.  Shave Shomron – always. The road is closed from Sara to Nablus.  That is to say, no one can tell how he will be able to get where he wants to go, only that it will be very unpleasant, or even dangerous, to go through these checkpoints;  everything depends upon which soldiers happen to be stationed there.

Life is very hard and there are many without any income.  Even in the workplaces where Palestinians received permits in the settlements. Not all those who worked there previously received permits now.
