Morning

A shift with no special happenings or stories.

At Abda the checkpoint is closed. And all  the southern area  of road 60 is manned by soldiers who are on the side of the road but are not manning road blocks.

Route 60 is now expanded around the entrance to Hebron and below the Beit Haggai

At  the entrance to Kiryat Arba in the industrial area the white donkey waits for the Messiah.

In Hebron, on the ascent of the Tel Rumeida road and at the entrance to the Avraham Shapira neighborhood, work is being done to improve the roads. We saw many Palestinian surveyors.

At the gate of the archeological garden, the Palestinian residents of Tel Rumeida were putting their belts on again but were not detained. Every metre a checkpoint.

And then we saw the volunteers of TIPH, a Swedish woman of Palestinian origin and an Italian who say that as far as they know the weekend passed quietly.

The soldiers roam the desolate deserted streets.

There is no joy there.
