Afternoon

Apparently on Wednesday the situation is no different than our experience on 3 previous  Sundays. In the parking lot some 10 vehicles, the waiting hall is empty and today the apparatus for numbers is working again. The soldier behind the turnstile lifts his eyebrows when we walk in. We introduce ourselves and he provides information willingly. Inside, in the office, there are about 10 people, he tells, no, the arrangement whereby there were specific days for the residents of the various areas in the vicinity is no longer in effect, the DCO is open 6 days weekly, including Friday mornings. Upon returning to the parking lot we meet a man getting into his car holding a document, saying with a big smile that all is good, he got what he came for.

On the other hand, the way to the DCO is infested with soldiers – on road 60 both to the north and south, on the road going eastward from the roundabout and a station some 50 meters west on the way to Alon Shvut.
