Qalandiya - Quiet Morning

Altogether we had a quiet shift from 6:15 until about 7:30. Except for the people who wished us a good morning as they passed through, no one approached us for help or for any other reason.  Our passage was likewise swift and easy. One of the security guards inside the inspection hall initiated a conversation with us about how well the new checkpoint operates, and essentially we agreed that the improvement from the level of operation of the old checkpoint was worthy of appreciation. From our experience over the past few months, the situation described above is the norm at Qalandiya, and we have therefore reduced the number of shifts to two a month.
